Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate AI Development Intern to assist in developing a Modelling Insight AI Assistant. This assistant will analyze data from energy modeling tools like PLEXOS, ANTARES, PYPSA, and others, understanding data linkages to provide insightful explanations for observed behaviors. You will collaborate with our energy analysts to implement and refine this AI solution.
Responsibilities:

- Develop AI algorithms to interpret outputs from energy modeling tools such as PLEXOS, ANTARES, and PYPSA.
- Implement data analysis techniques to understand relationships and linkages within complex datasets.
- Enable the AI assistant to provide results-based explanations for specific behaviors observed in energy models.
- Collaborate with data scientists and energy analysts to integrate the AI assistant into existing modeling workflows.
- Test, validate, and optimize the AI assistant for accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.
- Document the development process and contribute to creating user guides and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualifications/Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or an energy related field.
- Proficient in Python.
- Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly).
- Knowledge of energy modeling tools such as PLEXOS, ANTARES, or PYPSA is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen interest in energy systems and modeling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Duration and Compensation:
- Duration: 6-month
- Working Hours: 4-day week (30 hours)
- Compensation: €1,800 per month.
